Curriculum Expansion and Implementation Study

The Division of Early Learning (DEL) has provided additional funding for Early Learning Coalitions to reimburse School Readiness (SR) and/or Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) contracted early care and education partners for approved curriculum and professional development related to that curriculum.

Early care and education partners who apply for reimbursement agree to be part of the Curriculum Expansion and Implementation Study.

Early care and education partners will be reimbursed for a maximum of two (2) curriculums.

How to Qualify

Early Care and Education Partner must

  • Be a licensed early child care provider with an active School Readiness or VPK Contract
  • Purchases must be made between March 29, 2023, through November 17, 2023
  • Each curriculum purchase must include training for at least one educator
  • Curriculums must be part of the DEL-approved curriculum list
  • Not have a contract with the early learning coalition that was terminated and/or eligibility revoked within the past five years
  • Not be under investigation or has been convicted of child care fraud
  • Not be included on the Florida Child Care Food Program (CCFP} USDA Disqualified list;
  • Submits an IRS Form W-9 for payment and direct deposit forms (as required by the coalition), if not previously submitted.

Responsibilities

Early Care and Education Partner agrees to:

  • Provide receipts for curriculum and training reimbursement
  • Complete the project surveys* within 15 days of receipt
  • Participate in project interviews*
  • Identify the Point of Contact information for the researcher(s)

*The surveys and interviews will involve questions related to curriculum implementation (training, processes, daily schedules, etc.) and may include provider and teacher demographic information. Providers will not be required to provide child-level information or personally identifiable information.

Providers submit applications to their “home” coalition. Early learning/child care providers that contract with multiple coalitions will be paid by the coalition where the provider is physically located (” home” coalition).

How to Apply

  • Log into the ARPA module for Web Author
  • Select “Curriculum Expansion” for your school
  • Fill out the application
  • Make sure you click "Submit"

Notes:

Curriculum and training purchased using ARPA Workforce Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) funds do not qualify.

Curriculum Expansion reimbursements are available until budget allocation has been exhausted.
