Screening for Success in Early Childhood

The Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe uses the Ages and Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ®-3 and ASQ®: SE-2) to identify potential developmental and social emotional concerns, help parents celebrate their child’s milestones and determine whether follow-up steps are needed.

CHILDREN benefit from developmental screening. Developmental screenings provide a snapshot of how a child is progressing in their development and behavior. They allow for individualized care plans and timely intervention and support to help them reach their full potential.

PARENTS know their children best. Being involved in developmental screening promotes positive parenting, collaboration with providers and partners, and guidance on how to proceed with evaluations, therapies, or other interventions.
