Child Care Executive Partnership

The CCEP program creates an opportunity for employers and employees to succeed as partners. The families that benefit most from employer-supported child  care are low-income. Parents that have financial assistance through employer-supported child care provides parents increased purchasing power.

Employers also benefit in the following ways from contributing to their employees' child care needs being met:

  • Child care subsidies bring additional individuals into the pool of available workers - those that would not be able to work without stable child care arrangements.
  • Employers may realize lower absenteeism and tardiness that were a result of child care conflicts. Child care support stabilizes employees and their children.
  • Increased employee productivity by employees who know that their children are being cared for in a stable, safe, and nurturing environment.

In addition, your business may be eligible for a tax incentive. Child care assistance provided by an employer is a tax-deductible "ordinary and necessary" business expense under the Internal Revenue Codes Section 162. The eligibility is made possible because providing child care services reduces absenteeism and turnover, aids in recruitment and retention, and increases employee productivity. It makes smart business sense.
