The Children's Trust Thrive by 5 Quality Improvement System
March 23, 2020
Message from The Children's Trust
Dear Thrive by 5 (TB5) Quality Improvement System Providers:
As a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we understand
child care programs are making decisions about operations on a day-by-day basis.
To alleviate stress and support our early learning community during this uncertain time, The Children's Trust's guidance through April 15, 2020, regarding Thrive by 5 High Quality-Incentive Payment (tier payments) and Children's Trust Scholarships is as follows:
- High Quality-Incentive Payment (tier payments) - TB5 child care programs whether open or closed, will receive tier payment for the month of March using submitted February enrollment numbers. You will not need to log in to the WELS portal to submit enrollment numbers for March, this will be an automatic process. We hope this will help alleviate administrative tasks and allow those still operating to continue serving the children and families of your program during this challenging time. As always, The Children's Trust fully expects the funds to be reinvested in the early learning program in the form of supports for educators and staff.
- Children's Trust Child Scholarship - The Children's Trust has committed to reimbursing TB5 programs during this time whether the scholarship child attended the program or not during the month of March and April payments. In doing so, The Children's trust supports your program as well as alleviate the financial burden for families affected by this crisis. If scholarship children are not the program or if the program closes the parents will not be responsible for the parent co-payment.
The Children's Trust will continue to monitor this rapidly evolving situation; and information will be provided as it becomes available.
We appreciate your efforts to ensure the safety and health of your staff, children, and families during this critical time.
