Save the Children and the Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe are partnering to present "Shelter from the Storm" workshop.
- To explore the potential impact of toxic stress from a community disaster on young children ages 0 to 3 years.
- To strategize how we can respond to the needs of young children during and following a disaster or traumatic event, especially when behavior may be challenging.
- To promote caregiver self-care as a strategy in supporting babies and toddlers during times of distress.
- To present new resources developed for use as tools to support young children and their families during and following a disaster.
Training Date and Time: Saturday August 17, 2019, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm

Training Target Audience: Child Care Owners, Directors or Lead Teachers
Breakfast and lunch will be provided and participants are eligible to receive 0.6 Continuing Education Unit for full attendance.
