Professional Development Training Stipends Orientation Invitation

June 04, 2020

The Office of Early Learning has authorized emergency stipends to help providers defray some of the expenses related to the COVID-19 pandemic and to maintain and strengthen the early learning workforce.

These stipends are only available while the disaster or emergency declaration remains in effect. Funds will be allocated as soon as possible and must be released no later than 30 days after the emergency declaration period expires. All training must be completed by June 30, 2020.

The Professional Development Institute, a division of the Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe, invites you to attend a training session to assist providers, teachers and staff members in completing the Child Care Provider Teacher/Staff Member Application and accessing approved training courses for teacher stipends.

 Topics to be covered:

  • Mayor Gimenez’ Guidelines for Opening of Summer Camps and the Safe Operation of Child Care Programs (added)
  • Eligibility for the Teacher/Staff Member program
  • How to fill out the Child Care Provider Teacher Staff/Member Application (step by step)in the Early Learning Coalition's Provider Portal
  • How to upload Teacher/Staff Member transcripts and certificates to the Early Learning Coalition's Provider Portal
