Mini-Grants Application Now Available

The application for the infrastructure and health and safety mini-grants is now available at:

The Office of Early Learning authorized these emergency mini-grants to help providers defray some of the expenses related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

These mini-grants are only available while the disaster or emergency declaration remains in effect. Funds will be allocated as soon as possible and must be released no later than 30 days after the emergency declaration period expires.

Infrastructure Mini-grants that cover the cost of expenses incurred since the declaration of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency. Examples of covered expenses include: cost of equipment: supplies and staffing: business mortgage and rent expenses; business insurance and business utility bills. Providers may be awarded a one-time infrastructure grant per declared disaster/emergency event, per location of up to $1,000.

Health & Safety Mini-grants that cover the costs of supplies purchased to create and improve the health and safety of child care programs. Examples of covered expenses include: purchase of personal protective equipment; disinfectant solutions; toilet paper, soap, bleach and other supplies to address health and safety needs. Providers may be awarded a one-time health and safety mini-grant per declared disaster/emergency event, per location of up to $1,000.

The grants are available to both School Readiness and VPK providers who meet the required criteria outlined in the application.
