Eligibility Services Update

March 17, 2020

The Early Learning Coalition, out of an abundance of caution and to protect the safety and welfare of those we serve from the spread of COVID-19, has decided to suspend person-to-person interactions at all of our office locations and field operations. This is in keeping with the latest recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

While our locations will be closed to the public, our ongoing operations to serve the children, families and early learning programs in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties will continue. The same attention to detail and customer service offered in face-to-face visits will continue to occur within an alternative service delivery model.

Effective, Wednesday, March 18, all Early Learning Coalition office locations will close to the public, but all office and field employees will continue to work remotely. Parents and caregivers who would normally access child care services through one of our service centers will receive assistance via phone, email, text and other online methods. Providers will also receive support and assistance electronically, through either phone or email contact as we have always done.

All upcoming public meetings will continue to be publicly noticed as usual, but will be held via teleconference instead of in person.

Anyone needing services will be able to call our Call Center at 305-646-7220 and will be connected with a Team Member, who will work with them to address their needs. We will strive to continue to provide the best possible customer service under these very challenging circumstances.

We know these are very trying times for our community and the Early Learning Coalition wants to ensure that accessing and maintaining our services does not create another obstacle for anyone. We will be here and available for you. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you during this time. We appreciate your consideration and patience as we all try to cope with this ongoing crisis.

Additional updates and changes will be provided as soon as they are known. Please visit our website (www.elcmdm.org) and follow us on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram for daily updates.
