Title: Chief Financial Officer

Location: Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe, Coral Gables Office
Experience and Training:
- Masters degree in finance or equivalent
- CPA certification a must
- Familiarity with contracting processes and management a plus
- 7 to 10 years experience, at least 3 in a managerial capacity
- Knowledge of all areas of GAAP, FASB and governmental funding regulations and requirements essential
- Working knowledge of federal and state funding streams and competency in the development and utilization of E-business tools and processes
- Training, education and/or experience may be substituted for certain minimum qualifications
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
Hours per Week: Full-time
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directs all financial functions including preparation of budgets, audits, and strategic plan
- Provides oversight of internal financial policies and procedures consistent with accounting regulations and practices to ensure appropriate fiscal management
- Directs and provides oversight to staff to ensure all fiscal activities are in concert with the overall strategic plan
- Directs contracts and quality assurance staff
- Advises management regarding ways to maximize revenues
- Ensures all compliance procedures are met
- Determines needs and ensures appropriate fiscal planning capacity through identification and assessment of emerging trends and issues
- Manages disbursement of funds to participating agencies and organizations in compliance with policies and procedures
- Performs related duties as required

- Ability to work effectively with a diverse population
- Skills in using Microsoft Office Suite
